Family Possessions was founded with a simple belief: every home tells a story, and those stories deserve to be preserved.
Our small team, based out of the GTA area, were united from the single belief that our possessions are more than the sum of their parts. They contains stories and memories that should be passed down from generation to generation.
We bring a strong foundation in client service, data organization, and attention to detail. This combination allows us to provide a thoughtful and structured solution to an important but often-overlooked need: assisting families in preserving their heritage, legacy, and stories for the next generation to come.
Why We Started
The inspiration for Family Possessions came from a deeply personal experience—the unexpected loss of a loved one.
When my grandfather passed away, our family was left with the difficult task of sorting through a lifetime of belongings. Like many families, we realized too late that we didn't truly know what keepsakes remained, where important items were, or which possessions carried the most meaningful memories. There were stories we wished had been recorded and family treasures we wished had been identified before they were gone.
I began thinking about how many families face the same challenge—not because they aren't organized, but because documenting an entire home is overwhelming. Most people never find the time to create a complete inventory of their possessions until they're faced with a move, an estate, or an unexpected life event.
That's why I created Family Possessions.
